Finn, formerly known as FN-2187, is a key character introduced in *Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens*.

He begins the film as a First Order stormtrooper, designated FN-2187. He experiences a crisis of conscience during a mission, leading him to abandon his post and desert the First Order.

After his defection, he adopts the name "Finn" given to him by Poe Dameron. He allies himself with Rey and the Resistance, fighting against the First Order and discovering a hidden potential within himself.
